In the article" Who should pay for university?" the author Kate Fillion mentioned an argument between some university students who pay for themselves and other students for whom their parents pay.
The author informed about the different opinions between two kinds of parents. Even though those self-supporting students know it is not easy that do not have parental support, they learn how hard it is to get what they want and how hard for each one dollar. Therefore, many people think it is a good valuable lesson. The author gave some evidences to analyze what is the real situation about how many parents pay for their kids and how much they have to pay every year. Because of the human nature, many parents think paying for their kids is kind of parental responsibility and they called it "an investment in the future". However, some students who get money easily from their parents do not know how difficult to make money. Therefore, they used a lot of money to go shopping or go to clubs. Fillion also figured out that those students have no financial responsibilities. Then, some students and their parents have made a new agreement which is parents loaning money to their kids for paying tuition. As the result, many students think it may be more effective since they loan the money, thus, they have to control themselves how to use money. On the other hand, they do not need pay interest to their parents so that they have less stress than loaning money from banks.
In conclusion, Fillions informed those self-supporting students think who pay by themselves is an important reason why they could be successful.
