According to author Donald F Klein, MD, in his article "When depression strikes HIM" (Prevention, September, 1996), one of the most serious disease depression that affect more women than men.
Klein states that one of the reasons is that man usually do not seek medical help since they are trained to hide their emotions or admit that they have a problem. For these reasons, male depression end up being more severe than females. Klein also indicates that in order to treat the disease, man must seek the help of a psychiatrist. Furthermore, they must to recognize that depression is a serious disease that is mostly caused by chemical imbalance in the brain. Klein also demonstrates that this imbalance may occur because of stressful events in some one's life, such as divorce, death, lose of job. Moreover, he informs the symptoms of that the disease is usually visible in a loss of energy, changes in a sleep pattern, weight gain or weight loss, physical pain and high alcohol intake. In addition, Klein remarks that family heredity plays a part in depression as well.
At the end of the article, Klein suggests the methods to be aware of this disease and offers possible solutions to curing and helping overcome the problems.

I think men are afraid "face". Men have to show their strong and tough to the other people. Even they have depression, they can't let the other people know. Men have to control themself. If they want to cry, they have to cry in their room.

Depression disease is becoming a fearful problem,especially for men.It is a kind of mental disease, so it is very hard to deal with it by doctors. Men should take care themselves more, and decrease the pressure from work, study, and family. Since it is really hard to do, men mush complete it.
